Growth Mindset - A Foundation of Success
WideField of Dreams - Makayla Shoup
Makalya Shoup is a junior at Widefield High School and is currently number one academically in her class. Makayla is in AP classes, a member of student council and the honors chambers string orchestra. She not only shines in the classroom, but on the runway. Makayla is also a model and competes in beauty pageants. She was the second runner-up in the last Miss High School America pageant. Currently, she is preparing to compete in the Miss Colorado Collegiate division. If you've watched a beauty pageant, you know it's not all about looks. Makayla says you have to be a good public speaker, and participating in pageants is great practice. Makayla's dream is become an aeronautical engineer and make a positive impact in the world.
WideField of Dreams - Cyan Pratt
Cyan “Cece” Pratt. Cece is a junior at Widefield High School and very involved in school. Outside the classroom, you can find Cece in a scrum. She is the scrum-half on an all girls rugby team in Colorado Springs. For those scratching their heads, a scrum-half feeds the ball into the scrum and is the linking role between the forwards and the backs. Simply put, Cece is one tough chick. But she has a softer side. Cece also does Panamanian dance. She dresses up in beautiful traditional costumes and performs folklore dances. Cece says her dream is to help out the world and continue to try new things.
2014-15 Bus Route Information
Beginning this school year the Transportation Department has launched Versatrans e-link to give parents and schools the ability to look up the most accurate bus information. This is a new way for families and schools to access transportation information, schedules, and routes. For security and efficiency reasons, we will no longer post bus routes on the Internet. The new student transportation online information system utilizes the latest routing technology to maintain accurate, up-to-date, and "real time" bus routing information.
For more information, visit the Transportation Department page.
